Red Ocean is an immersive audio-visual installation that mourns whales which fall victims to human capture at sea and a suffocating romantic relationship. A sonic-visual collage and a piece of expanded cinema, Red Ocean weaves together the haunting sounds of a hunter-killer whale song with archival footages of massacres at sea, interlaced with the poetic testimony of an anonymous young woman. The film is only seen through refractions projected onto a central sculptural piece composed of shattered mirror shards.

Visitors were invited to step inside the installation so to inhabit the film as an eco-feminist space of distortion, resonance, and reflection.
